Guatemala Food Crisis

It has been said when the United State's economy hiccups, the developing world catches the cold. As Americans struggle with the financial recession, the developing world has been hit even harder. While poverty is a major part of the developing world in a normal economy, during a recession things go from bad to worse.

As Americans tighten up their pocketbooks, they also cut back on their giving, causing relief organizations to make hard decisions about what services they cut back on. In Guatemala for instance many relief organizations are choosing to close their doors, leaving those in poverty, during their greatest time of need.

Praise the Lord that Compassion International is not leaving! A story that CNN decided to cover, below you will find the special report:

That is so sad. :( I'm grateful for the help that Compassion is giving, though!
